When I was choosing my magazine cover layouts I
researched from a number of different
school magazine. But it’s not just school magazines that would take the layout
that I used in the final product. here
are a few of the cover layouts that I wanted to replicate in my final piece.
When I was making the magazine cover and the condense pages I
changed the different styles of magazine and ended up that the 2nd
cover option was the best in my opinion. It made the magazine have a modern
smart view to the school magazine. And this is what I wanted for my target
audience. The colour scheme that I chose for the magazine cover and the
contents page are the same colours that the school follows, blue, white, black
colour scheme. This colour scheme was
used to when the target audience sees the cover they will know that it was from Biddulph high school. The master head that I chose came from a number of
attempts, much like the layout of cover I chose a few of the text from www.dafont.com and tried them out to find the one
that looked the best. The image that I
chose for the front cover came from a number of photos that was taken at a photo-shoot
that we did at the begging of the year and when it came to making the cover I
thought that this photo was the better laid out than the others, and fitted
into the layout structure that I had chosen.
These are the three different master head fonts that I had
to choose for my fish product of my cover and the contents page.
title of the magazine
title of the magazine
The reason that I chose my name of the school magazine. When
I was choosing the name for my magazine, I wanted to choose a name of the
magazine that was simple. But people will know what it is when they first see
it. Having it called ‘’BH6 WEEKLY’’ it shows the audience that it is specifically
aimed at people that go to the sixth form or people that want to join the sixth
form in the future. This is very important as it help not to just advertise the
magazine but the school possibly helping the school to gain more pupils for the
school.
